The Merrill genuine PKPF repair kit is designed to resolve any leaks coming from the spout, or packing nut of the model M2000 yard hydrants. The kit includes 2x metal draw straps, 2x metal hex nuts, 1x rubber O-ring, 1x metal pivot connector, 1x plunger, 1x packing nut, and 1x packing. The draw straps are the metal plates that help connect the hydrant handle to the head. The pivot connector is used to connect the extension rod to the long plunger rod that goes down into the ground. The plunger will seat into the valve body, and insure there is no water that can leak through the spout of the hydrant head when it is shut off. The plunger also prevents water from seeping out of the weep hole of the valve body when the hydrant is on.
